Trinity held its first service on March 18, 1966. It was the vision of our first Pastor, W.F. Carlile, who was blessed and sent out by First Assembly of God in Cookeville. Ten families joined that vision and First Assembly of God in Algood was born. On August 1, 1977, under Pastor Buford Nivens, our name changed to Trinity Assembly of God.
Over the years, our church has steadily focused on serving the people of the Upper Cumberland. Trinity has gone through many changes, and Jason & Susan Yarbrough are the 7th pastors to lead us since 1966, but we are still a vibrant church, committed to our original vision. Our purpose is to love people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. We do that by LOVING God and people, GROWING together to spiritual maturity, and SERVING our community.
We are passionate about following Jesus and just as passionate about bringing people into relationship with Him. We joyfully partner with other pastors and churches in our region because we believe that we are ONE CHURCH for whom Jesus gave His life.
