Introduction to Pentecostal Doctrine
An examination of the four cardinal doctrines of the Assemblies of God: Salvation, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ. After an introductory unit on the importance of doctrine, there is a unit of study on each of the doctrines. This course is essential to the further understanding of the complete Pentecostal message as presented in other courses.


Local Church Evangelism
The local church is the provenance of evangelism for reaching its community and the world. After a foundational teaching on the Great Commission and the Holy Spirit's role in evangelism, the church should focus on a variety of methods. The largest portion of the course is devoted to the evangelistic responsibility of all believers.

Acts
This is a study of the book of Acts. Learn how the Spirit was poured out and how the church was birthed. Learn how the scriptures were fulfilled and how the gospel would be preached in Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. You will learn of Peter's new-found boldness and Paul's determination.

Assemblies of God History, Missions, and Governance
A study of the historical development of the Assemblies of God, the history of missions movement in the Assemblies of God, and the ecclesiastical government of the fellowship. Attention is given to the General Council Constitution and Bylaws in relation to credentialed ministers, local churches, and district councils.

Relationships and Ethics in Ministry
A biblical approach to the relationships that are important to the minister, both personally and professionally. It looks at temperament theory and its relevance to human relations. This course examines relationships and ethics in view of the minister's personal growth, ministry challenges, people in the community, and other ministers.

Synoptic Gospels
Synoptic means 'to see together.' We call Matthew, Mark, and Luke the Synoptic Gospels because they see things together. They describe the life and teachings of Christ in the same way. In this class you will learn about each of the three writers. You will learn of Jesus' early years, His travels, His teachings, His expectations, His predictions, and His fulfillment.

Introduction to Hermeneutics - How to Interpret the Bible
This is an introductory course on the principles for interpreting Scripture. It summarizes the need for these principles, and explores the qualifications, tools, and goals of the Bible interpreter. This unit includes general and specific principles for interpreting the Bible. Students develop the skills by practicing the principles in exercises that are provided.

Prison Epistles
Study of the four books, which Paul wrote during his first Roman imprisonment. You will understand the principles of why he wrote them and to whom he was writing. Understand Paul's reasons for writing to a slave owner. In this study you will learn who Christ is, and what He has accomplished. You will learn who we are in Christ and our Christian responsibility.

First Level Internship Program
This is the first of three internships to be developed. Each internship will require the student to work with local pastors to gain hands-on experience in various ministry activities. You will discuss such functions as weddings, funerals, and hospital visitation. It also emphasizes the minister's devotional life.
