Baby Dedications - Sunday, August 15, 2010

Have you had your child dedicated to God? We'll be dedicating babies in our Sunday morning services at 8:30 am & 10:30 am.

Why do we dedicate our children to the Lord? In 1 Samuel, chapter 1, we read as Hannah brings her child before Eli the priest for dedication, and this is what she said: "O my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the Lord. For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord." So they worshiped the Lord there. (1 Samuel 1:26-28)

What a joyous moment is shared between our pastor and parents. It's a time for moms and dads to express their gratitude to God for giving them this child and then presenting the child back to God for His glory and continued service. To have your child dedicated, sign-up at the Information Center.
