Servant Evangelism

Servant Evangelism reaches out to people in the community by going to them instead of bringing them to church. This team of volunteers honors Jesus by obeying His last words before His ascension: Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Mark 16:15.

They accomplish this mission by going to businesses and giving out bottled water, cold or hot drinks. They wash windows. They give $2.00-off coupons. They give quarters at laundry mats. They look for creative ways to bless someone by serving them, for this creates opportunities to share the Gospel. They stop and ask the recipients of their gifts if they have a need in their life for which they would like prayer. If they agree, then the Servant Evangelism member prays for them right then, short and sweet. Afterwards, the members meet back at the church to discuss their blessing. As leader Larry Pratt says, "We give and serve to someone else, and we get blessed! It's a good, fun, time and a great way to get acquainted."
